Alzheimer’s stamp
The U.S. Postal Service will issue a 42-cent Alzheimer’s commemorative stamp Oct. 17 in Bethesda, Md.
Art director Ethel Kessler worked with illustrator Matt Mahurin to draw attention to the importance of the caregiver for those who have Alzheimer’s disease. “For the person with Alzheimer’s,” Kessler said, “that interaction with the caregiver means everything.”
For first-day cancellations, affix stamps to self-addressed envelopes and send them to ALZHEIMER’S STAMP, 300 POSTAL PLAZA, MORGANTOWN, WV 26508-9998. Orders must be postmarked by Dec. 18.
