Vintage Speedboats
The U.S. Postal Service issued 41-cent Vintage Mahogany Speedboat commemorative stamps last month.
The stamps feature photographs of vintage speedboats made by four major manufacturers – a 1915 Hutchinson Brothers Launch, a 1931 Gar Wood triple cockpit runabout, a 1939 Hacker-Craft and a 1954 Chris-Craft Racing Roundabout.

The Art of Disney: Magic
The U.S. Postal Service has also issued 41-cent The Art of Disney: Magic commemorative stamps in four designs.
With the stamps, the postal service honors the art of magic as imagined by Walt Disney and his studio. The stamps feature Mickey Mouse, Peter Pan and Tinker Bell, Dumbo and Timothy Mouse, and Aladdin and Genie.

James Stewart
Also issued last month by the U.S. Postal Service is a 41-cent James Stewart commemorative stamp.
The stamp – the 13th issuance in the Legends of Hollywood stamp series – honors Stewart, the American film star whose lanky physique, drawling speech and naturalistic acting style made his characters convincing.

Celebrate!
The U.S. Postal Service recently issued a 41-cent Celebrate! special stamp. The stamp design consists of 12 letter blocks arranged to spell out the word “Celebrate!”

Alpine Tundra
Last month, the U.S. Postal Service issued a commemorative sheet of the 41-cent Alpine Tundra stamps in ten designs. The stamps are the ninth in the Nature of America series, which is designed to promote appreciation of major plant and animal communities in the United States. The stamps will not be sold individually.
To illustrate the diversity of species associated with the alpine tundra, artist John D. Dawson, of Hilo, Hawaii, depicted more than 24 animal and plant species in the acrylic painting featured on the sheet. All of the species can be encountered on the alpine tundra of Rocky Mountain National Park.

Gerald R. Ford
The U.S. Postal Service also issued a 41-cent Gerald R. Ford commemorative stamp last month.
The stamp features a portrait of the president painted by award-winning artist Michael J. Deas, of Brooklyn Heights, N.Y.

Purple Heart
Also issued recently by the U.S. Postal Service is a 41-cent Purple Heart definitive stamp.
The stamp honors the medal issued to military personnel wounded in combat or to the next of kin of those killed in action. It was previously issued in 2003 and 2006.
